SMS Consent & Messaging Terms

Who Sends These Messages

Kelo Wellness ("Kelo", "we") sends SMS text messages from our business phone number to users who have opted in. Kelo is a consumer wellness application offering guided tai-chi practice and movement tracking.

How You Opt In

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Kelo in the following ways:

  • Physical Therapy (PT) referral: During discharge from a participating PT clinic, your therapist may recommend Kelo as a long-term wellness program. If you verbally consent and provide your mobile number to your PT, we will send you a one-time welcome text containing a link to set up your account.
  • Web opt-in: Sign in with your phone number at kelowellness.io/auth/login and check the SMS consent box. The checkbox carries the full CTIA disclosures (frequency cap, STOP/HELP, message and data rates may apply). Your separate Privacy Policy + Terms acknowledgment is collected at the same step.
  • Reply "YES" to a Kelo SMS to confirm opt-in for ongoing messages (e.g. practice reminders, milestone rewards).

What Messages You Will Receive

  • Welcome: A one-time message with a magic link to activate your Kelo account, sent after PT referral or web signup.
  • Practice reminders (opt-in only): Gentle reminders to encourage daily tai-chi practice.
  • Account notifications: Confirmations for events you RSVP to, waitlist promotions, and milestone achievements.

We do not send marketing or promotional messages from third parties. Your phone number is never sold or shared with advertisers.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your preferences and activity. On average, users receive fewer than one message per week. You can adjust reminder frequency or disable reminders entirely in your account settings.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Kelo does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages from Kelo at any time by replying STOP to any Kelo message. You will receive a confirmation text and no further SMS will be sent, except messages required by law.
