Your setup
Chairs in a ring is all your staff sets up.
Safety and paperwork
Insured, and designed with a physical therapist.
Designed with a physical therapist
A licensed physical therapist sets the movement boundaries for every form. The lead cues each one seated and standing.
Leads reviewed by Kelo
Every lead is reviewed by Kelo before their first residency, and the same person holds the whole cycle. Instructor fees go to the artist who shows up in your room.
Every form can be done seated
Start to finish, from a chair, at the same tempo as the room.
Certificate of insurance on request
Kelo carries liability insurance, and a certificate of insurance is available on request.
Who leads
Meet the leads
Musicians and movement artists. A session runs in English or in Chinese, depending on the lead.
Questions people ask
Who will actually come?
By week three, residents come for the person, not the tai chi. That's why one lead holds the whole residency: the room fills because someone they know is back, not because a class is on the calendar.
What happens in the 45 minutes?
Five minutes to arrive and settle, music on, chairs in a ring. Ten minutes of warm-up to the beat: joints, breath, weight shift. Twenty-five minutes of forms, cued seated and standing. Five minutes to cool down, slow and still.
Will anyone fall?
Movement boundaries are set by a licensed physical therapist, every lead is reviewed by Kelo before their first residency, and every form can be done seated. Kelo carries liability insurance, and a certificate of insurance is available on request.
Can we book a single session?
Yes. Choose One-time event in the form. Expos, cultural weeks and park days run as one 45-minute set.
Has anyone done this before?
Our first residency is under way. We'll add a reference here when it completes.
